Christopher Cooper-Patton, an 18-year-old Black male from Columbus, Ohio, was shot late on the night of March 31, 2026, in the 1600 block of Elaine Road on the city�s east side. Columbus police said officers were called there at about 10:40 p.m. on a report of a shooting, and when they arrived, they found Christopher suffering from a gunshot wound. He was still alive, but his injuries were severe enough that he was rushed to Mount Carmel East Hospital in critical condition.
