In June of 2008, the tragic discovery of Tanya Rush, a 39-year-old female, sent a shockwave through the community of New-Bellmore, New York. A mother of three, Rush's life was cut short in a brutal and horrifying manner. Her dismembered body was found packed into a suitcase along the Southern State Parkway, a grim end to a life that had been marked by personal struggles. At the time of her death, she was known to be battling drug addiction and was involved in sex work.
