On December 9, 2025, police responded to a shooting at the Waters at Berryhill apartment complex located at 18 Berryhill Road in Columbia, South Carolina. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies from the Lexington County Sheriff�s Department discovered 30-year-old Kendall Lemont McTeer deceased inside one of the units. McTeer, a male resident of Columbia, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lexington County Coroner.
