A 38-year-old man, Laron Harrison, lost his life in a fatal shooting in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 31, 2025, in Pittsburgh's Northview Heights neighborhood. The incident occurred inside a residence on the 100 block of Hazlett Street shortly before 1 a.m. Police were dispatched to the scene after a four-round ShotSpotter alert. Upon arrival, they discovered Harrison with multiple gunshot wounds to his back and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
