Joseph Bojorquez Jr., 22, a mixed-race male, was shot late on the night of September 10, 2025, in the parking lot off the 5000 block of Newport Avenue in San Diego�s Ocean Beach neighborhood, steps from the Hodad�s restaurant. Police say officers arrived around 11:29 p.m. to find him suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body; lifesaving efforts at the scene were unsuccessful.
