Matthew Alvarado, a 19-year-old Latino male from Bell Gardens, was fatally shot in Compton, California, on January 28, 2025. The incident occurred while he was seated inside a vehicle in the 2200 block of East Rosecrans Avenue, between North Willowbrook Avenue and Mulberry Street. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner�s office determined the manner of death to be homicide, with the cause being a gunshot wound to the head.
