Michael Kyle Reid, a 42-year-old man from Canton, was killed late on the night of February 17, 2025, at a home on North Lake Drive in Cherokee County. Deputies were called to the residence at about 10:22 p.m. on a report of a shooting, and when they arrived they found Reid unresponsive in the carport.
