A 37-year-old Hispanic male named Joseph Casas, 37, was discovered fatally shot in the head inside a Fairbanks, Alaska, apartment on the morning of April 11, 2025. Responding officers arrived shortly after reports of gunfire at a residence on the 1100 block of 27th Avenue and found him critically wounded. He was rushed to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The manner of the injury suggested an execution-style killing, with the gunshot wound directly to the head.
