Mario Gamez, a 20-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically died on August 21, 2016, in Austin, Texas. He was fatally shot in a car on William Cannon Drive. The incident occurred early Sunday morning when Mario Gamez and several passengers were traveling westbound toward IH-35.

The suspect, 19-year-old Cesar Moncada, was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. According to police reports, Moncada shot Mario Gamez, but the motive behind the shooting remains unclear. Three other passe ...
