Santos Verenice Garcia, a 42-year-old woman of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost her life on January 27, 2017, in McAllen, Texas. She was fatally shot by her husband, Cruz Orlando Pi�on, during a domestic disturbance call. The incident occurred in front of police officers, who were responding to a call near the 900 block of 3rd Street. During the altercation, Pi�on also shot and killed his 16-year-old stepdaughter, Ashley Segura Garcia, before turning the gun on himself.
