Brandon Omar Thomas, a 25-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on August 30, 2017, in Houston, Texas. He was fatally shot while standing outside his fianc�e's apartment building during the catastrophic flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey. Thomas was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire when one of three teenagers pursuing a 13-year-old boy fired a shot that struck him. The boy was wounded, but Thomas succumbed to his injuries.
