Richard Scott Anderson, a 58-year-old man from Carthage, Texas, tragically died on March 8, 2021, due to a shooting incident at his home on County Road 3041. The Panola County Sheriff's Office received a call around 7:19 p.m. about the shooting, and upon arrival, they detained Annette Sipes Anderson, 56, outside the home. Annette was later charged with murder in connection with Richard's death.
