Devonte William Gantt, a 22-year-old Black male from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, died on January 4, 2015, after a violent encounter on the 700 block of High Street in Lancaster City. What began as a planned marijuana transaction turned into a deadly shooting that left Gantt dead in a backyard and two other men wounded.
