In the winter of 2019, the city of Chester, Pennsylvania, marked its first homicide of the year with the death of 18-year-old Yahmire Curry. On the afternoon of February 11th, shortly after 1 p.m., city police responded to reports of a gunshot victim in the 700 block of Pennell Street.
