On a Thursday morning in late September 2019, William Johnson, a 23-year-old Black male, was found lying in the street on the 5400 block of Race Street in Philadelphia. It was 11:51 a.m. on September 26th when Philadelphia Police officers responded to a call and discovered him suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries and died that afternoon.
