Janyel Crawford, a 31-year-old Black female from North Versailles, was shot late on the night of August 26, 2020, in Pittsburgh�s Homewood neighborhood. Police were called after gunfire was detected and reported near the intersection of Frankstown Avenue and Collier Street at about 11:30 p.m. When officers and first responders arrived, they found two victims: Crawford, who had been struck multiple times, and a man who had also been shot.
