In the late afternoon of August 29, 2021, a burst of violence in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood claimed the life of 19-year-old Anthony Caliz. A Hispanic male, Caliz was on the 3000 block of North Ella Street just after 4 p.m. when he was shot twice, sustaining devastating injuries to his head and chest.
