In the Hazelwood neighborhood of Pittsburgh, a night of camaraderie among friends turned into a scene of violence that claimed the life of 21-year-old Maurice L. Cole III. On the evening of March 8, 2022, Cole was at a friend's house on Frayne Street, engrossed in video games with his companions. The ordinary evening was shattered when an individual, who had also been present at the gathering, followed Cole out of the house and shot him.
Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene.
