William Evan Sampson, a 31-year-old man, tragically lost his life on November 3, 1979, in Greensboro, North Carolina. Sampson was one of five anti-Klan demonstrators killed during an attack by members of the Ku Klux Klan and Nazis at an anti-Klan rally. The incident, known as the Greensboro Massacre, also resulted in the deaths of C�sar Vincente Cauce, Michael Ronald Nathan, Sandra Neely Smith, and James Michael Waller.
