Kris Audrey Bryant, a 49-year-old African American male, was found dead in his home on Bowen Blanks Drive in the Riegelwood area of Columbus County on August 13, 2019. His body was discovered by a relative who noticed that his car had not moved from the night before. Upon arrival, deputies from the Columbus County Sheriff�s Office found Bryant dead from an apparent gunshot wound. The investigation began immediately, with the authorities treating the incident as an isolated case.
