Lonnie Jeorge �Loso� Phillips, Sr., a 29-year-old Black man, tragically lost his life on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, in a shooting incident that occurred in New Orleans East. A graduate of George Washington Carver Senior High School, Phillips was a known entrepreneur in his community. He began his career as a DJ known as �DJ Flyboi Lonnie� and later, in 2016, obtained his barber license and became the owner of Fade City Barbershop. He was a father to three children, Milan, Malaya, and Lonnie Jr.
