Daniel Hampton, a 25-year-old African American man from Chicago, was fatally shot on June 21, 2015, at a fast-food restaurant in Dolton, Illinois. The incident occurred at Maxwell Street Polish, located at 1320 E. Sibley Blvd. According to the Lake County coroner�s office in Indiana, Daniel Hampton was pronounced dead at 4:47 a.m. at Franciscan St. Margaret Health in Hammond. The cause of death was determined to be gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.
