Garfield Taylor Jr., a 34-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on October 19, 2018, in Hazel Crest, Illinois. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the 16900 block of Annneta Avenue. According to the Cook County medical examiner�s office, Taylor was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead approximately 30 minutes later. An autopsy confirmed that he died from a gunshot wound to the chest, and his death was ruled a homicide.
