Russell Simmons, a 33-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on July 27, 2019, in Harvey, Illinois. The incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. in the 15500 block of Turlington Avenue. According to the Cook County medical examiner�s office, Simmons sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead approximately ten minutes after the shooting.
