Milton Stephens Jr., a 40-year-old Black man, was found shot to death inside his apartment at the Rockland Apartments on Recreation Road in Macon on August 18, 2014. The killing unfolded in the quietest part of the night, around 3 a.m., when someone came to his door and knocked.
