In the summer of 2016, the life of 42-year-old Heather deAmber Martin Phillips was tragically cut short in what was determined to be a murder-suicide. On July 28, 2016, Heather, a pre-loader for UPS, was found deceased in her Gainesville, Georgia home in the Chicopee Village area. An investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office concluded that Heather was fatally shot by her husband, 45-year-old Robert Troy Phillips, who then used the firearm to take his own life.
