In the early morning hours of Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, the life of 25-year-old Freddie James McKenzie, Jr. was cut short in his hometown of Vienna, Georgia. A United States Army veteran, McKenzie was fatally shot outside of Klub Money, a local nightclub. The events leading to his death began inside the club with a fight between two rival gangs. The altercation prompted the club's owner to shut down the establishment and ask everyone to leave.
