Malik Deanthony Robinson, a 23-year-old African American male from Ellenwood, Georgia, was found deceased on November 9, 2021, after a county road crew discovered his body in a wooded area in Barnesville. The subsequent investigation, led by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, determined that Robinson had sustained at least one gunshot wound. It became apparent to investigators that the location where his body was found was not the place where the shooting had occurred.
