In the summer of 2022, a young man's life was tragically cut short in Conyers, Georgia. Eighteen-year-old Marcus Shaffer, a resident of Conyers, died on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from a single gunshot wound. The fatal incident took place on a trail off of Centennial Olympic Parkway, near the Georgia International Horse Park.
