Edgar Rene Chaj, a 40-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on August 10, 2014, in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. According to the Los Angeles County coroner�s records, the incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. in the 2200 block of Thomas Street. Chaj was shot while in his vehicle, and despite his injuries, he attempted to drive away but ultimately crashed in a nearby alleyway.
