Rafael Arturo Gonzalez, a 37-year-old Latino, was fatally shot on October 11, 2017, near the intersection of Towne and Vinton avenues in Pomona, California. According to the Los Angeles County coroner�s records, Pomona police responded to a call about a shooting around 9 a.m. Upon arrival, they found several bullet casings at the scene. A 911 caller reported that a man in a vehicle had been shot. Gonzalez was driven by a friend to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:07 a.m.
