Courtney Antonio �Big Boi� Pittman, a 27-year-old Black man from New Orleans, Louisiana, died on Saturday, September 29, 2012.

In the days after his death, his family prepared to gather the people who knew him best�relatives, friends, and those who had shared ordinary moments with him that suddenly felt precious. A funeral service was scheduled for Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Estelle J. Wilson Funeral Home on Danneel Street, with visitation that morning before the service began.
