On the afternoon of January 17, 2016, a tragedy unfolded in the North St. Louis neighborhood of Missouri involving a 14-year-old female named Jamayha Luss. She was an eighth-grade student at Gateway Middle School who was known for her dedication to her studies and her aspirations of becoming a professional dancer.
