In the unforgiving waters of the Bering Sea, the life of a fisherman is one of constant risk, a reality that the crew of the F/V St. George knew all too well. Among them was George Stewart Dahl, a 31-year-old man from Bellingham, Washington. On January 4, 1992, Dahl and his five crewmates were aboard the 94-foot crab vessel, having departed from Dutch Harbor for the crab grounds.
