On a spring day in May of 1992, a twin-engine Cessna 340 with the tail number N69469 departed from Yakutat, Alaska, destined for Anchorage. Onboard were 45-year-old Jeffrey Harold Roth, who was piloting the aircraft, and four passengers: his brothers, Kent and Scott Roth, along with Timothy Thornton and Brian Barber.
