On November 26, 1996, a 39-year-old fisherman from Ketchikan, Alaska, named William Tyler, began a sea journey that would become his last. He was aboard the fishing vessel Tamra Dawn, a 33-foot sea cucumber and urchin dive boat, when a distress call reported the vessel was sinking in the Clarence Strait. The location of the incident was approximately two miles from Point McCarty and about 20 miles southwest of Ketchikan, near Dall Head. The events of that day led to the disappearance of William ...
