In the vast and unforgiving waters of the Bering Sea, the story of Edward F. Haynes, a 40-year-old man from Dillingham, Alaska, became one of many left to the depths. On April 2, 2001, Haynes, along with 14 other crew members, vanished with the sinking of the fishing vessel Arctic Rose.
