On July 13, 2003, 18-year-old Christopher Stephen Ostler, a male from Juneau, Alaska, boarded a private flight for what was intended to be a fishing trip. The plane, a Cessna 401 operated by his father, Gary Ostler, was en route from Port Angeles, Washington, to Gustavus, Alaska, with five passengers on board.
