On August 27, 2004, a 35-year-old man named Robert George Lane, Jr. from Palmer, Alaska, disappeared under perplexing circumstances. He was working aboard the fishing vessel Hunter, which was navigating the waters between King Cove and Sand Point at the time of his disappearance.
