In the spring of 2024, a sense of concern grew in Covington, Kentucky, following the disappearance of 18-year-old Merli Hibeth Aguilar-Morales. She was last seen on May 13, 2024, and the circumstances surrounding her vanishing have remained unsettlingly vague. At the time she went missing, she was described as a Hispanic female with black hair and brown eyes, standing at 5 feet tall and weighing between 110 and 120 pounds.
