On January 17, 2020, 39-year-old Amy Lee Bracken was last seen in Braddock, Pennsylvania, a borough in Allegheny County. Originally from Somerset, Pennsylvania, Amy had arranged to meet a man she had been communicating with online for the first time. She secured a ride from a friend to travel from Somerset to Braddock to meet him, carrying her personal belongings in a backpack. A few days prior to her trip, her cell phone had broken, so she was not in possession of a working phone at the time of her disappearance. Amy was described as a Caucasian female with brown hair and hazel eyes, standing between 5'3" and 5'6" tall and weighing approximately 215 pounds. She has several distinct physical features, including a tattoo on her forearm and piercings on her tongue and lower lip. It was also noted that she might occasionally dye her hair different colors. Her family, concerned for her welfare after not hearing from her, officially reported her missing on February 10, 2020. The investigation into Amy's disappearance led authorities to interview the man she had traveled to meet. He claimed that he and Amy had spent the weekend together and that she had then left with another man. According to his account, she departed with an unknown male in what was possibly an older model white Lexus, with the intention of heading towards the New Kensington area. In a concerning development following her disappearance, it was discovered that her Access card had been used fraudulently in North Braddock. The case was initially handled by the Somerset Borough Police Department before being transferred to the Allegheny County Police Department, which is now the primary investigating agency. Despite the passage of time, Amy Bracken's case remains unsolved, and her whereabouts are still unknown. The circumstances surrounding her vanishing, from her planned meeting with a stranger to the conflicting account of her departure, create a troubling and unresolved narrative for her family and investigators.
