She had gone to the store to meet a family friend who was giving her some money. After leaving the store, she was seen walking across 8 Mile Road, heading toward Hawthorne Street. The circumstances following Krista's departure from the party store are deeply concerning. Authorities believe that she may have been assaulted, possibly shot, and then forced into the back of a car in the vicinity of 8 Mile Road and Hawthorne Street. Her family has not seen or heard from her since that night. At the time of her disappearance, Krista was wearing a teal winter coat, a brown hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and brown boots, and she was carrying a blue bag. She is described as a white female, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing around 130 pounds, with graying blonde hair that was pulled back in a ponytail, and green eyes. Distinctive features include a mole on her left eyebrow, a scar on her right arm, a linear scar on her abdomen, and a tattoo of the name "Charlie" on her ankle. The investigation into Krista Daniel's disappearance remains open. Her mother holds the painful belief that her daughter was murdered and that potential witnesses may be too fearful to come forward with information. The lack of answers has left her family in a state of prolonged grief, unable to find closure.
