Joseph Robert Gries, a 52-year-old man from rural Armstrong, Iowa, has been missing since May 22, 2020. The last known contact with him was a phone conversation he had with a family member on that day. Later on May 22, concerned family members reported him missing to the Emmet County Sheriff's Office, prompting an investigation into his disappearance. At the time he went missing, authorities stated that foul play was not suspected.
