In the late summer of 1975, a 51-year-old appliance repairman named Louis Eugene Barbero vanished from the small town of Baxley, Georgia. At the time of his disappearance, he was known to the community by the name Anthony Robert 'Bob' Morino. On a day in August of that year, he made a stop at a local laundromat to see his wife.
