Alasia Oshay Hill, a 23-year-old mother of two, vanished from Detroit, Michigan, leaving her family fraught with worry. She was last seen by her mother on March 10, 2021, at Henry Ford Hospital. The purpose of the hospital visit was for a follow-up appointment to have stitches removed after her right hand was amputated due to complications from an infection that had previously put her in a medically induced coma. At the time of her disappearance, her mother noted that she was not in a good physical condition and was also grappling with a mental health condition. After her appointment, Alasia left with her boyfriend and later that evening, she spoke to her mother on the phone. This would be the last time her mother would hear from her. The day after her hospital visit, Alasia's mother was unable to get in touch with her. When she contacted Alasia's boyfriend, he claimed that Alasia had walked out of the house that morning without saying where she was going. He said that he had tried to follow her but eventually turned back. This was out of character for Alasia, who, despite having a history of disappearing for short periods, had never been out of contact with her family for so long, especially her two young sons who were living with their paternal grandparents. Her social media, which she used often, also went silent. Alasia did not have her own phone at the time of her disappearance. Her mother officially filed a missing person's report with the Detroit Police Department. Alasia is described as an African American female with black hair and brown eyes, standing at 5'4" and weighing approximately 135 pounds. A distinct feature is the tattoo of the name "Kayden" on her forearm and her recently amputated right hand. She was last seen wearing a tan jogging outfit and glittery beige UGG boots. The Detroit Police Department is investigating her case, but there have been no significant leads. There is no evidence of foul play, but concern for her well-being is high due to her medical state at the time she went missing. The investigation into what happened to Alasia Hill remains ongoing, leaving her family and community searching for answers.
