In the spring of 2021, a young life was interrupted by an unexplained disappearance that continues to puzzle investigators and distress her loved ones. Sixteen-year-old Wendy Lemus-Melgar was last seen in Wichita, Kansas, on May 12, 2021. At the time she went missing, she was described as a Hispanic female with black hair and brown eyes, standing five feet tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds.
