In the winter of 2025, a devoted family man and active community member, 48-year-old Dustin Ali, vanished from his Philadelphia, Pennsylvania neighborhood. Also known as Rahman Ali, he was last seen on the afternoon of December 21, 2025. Surveillance footage captured him inside a food market on the 1500 block of South 55th Street at approximately 3:59 PM that Sunday. Earlier that day, he had participated in a regular Sunday Zoom prayer call with members of his mosque, a testament to his consistent and devout nature. After about 5:00 PM, all communication from Dustin ceased, an alarming silence for a man who was in daily contact with his loved ones. Concern grew quickly among his family when he didn't make his usual calls. This unease prompted his mother to visit his home a few days later to check on him. There, she discovered a worrying scene: the door to his home was unlocked, and his dog was inside, but Dustin was gone. All of his personal belongings, including his wallet, identification, coat, keys, and shoes, were found inside his home, making his disappearance all the more perplexing. The only item that appeared to be missing was his cellphone. His family officially reported him missing to the Philadelphia Police Department on December 23, 2025. The investigation into Dustin's disappearance has left his family searching for answers. Authorities have stated there are no updates in the case and have not indicated whether they consider his disappearance to be suspicious. His phone reportedly last pinged in the Cobbs Creek area on December 24th before it was turned off. Dustin is described as a Black male, standing between 5'5" and 5'8" tall, and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has several distinctive tattoos, including the words "RUN CLUB 1934 SAFA & MARWA" on his left shoulder and a skull with symbols on his chest, in addition to other tattoos on his forearms, chest, and abdomen. For over 25 years, he has owned a demolition business, Ali's General Labor, and is known for his active role in his mosque and community, often participating in marathons and advocating for those in need. His family, who describes him as a creature of habit, has offered a $10,000 reward for any information that could help bring him home, emphasizing that it is entirely out of character for him to be out of contact. The case remains an active missing person investigation, a painful and unresolved chapter for a family and community awaiting his safe return.
