In the summer of 2003, 59-year-old Revell Reuben Jeeter was living a quiet life in Harrisonville, a small community in Fulton County, Pennsylvania. A retired man, Jeeter was known to be a bit of a loner, with his primary companion being his Jack Russell terrier, Bubba. On the afternoon of July 14, 2003, between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m., Jeeter was seen at the Lincoln Way Market in the nearby town of McConnellsburg. He purchased two steaks, one for himself and one for Bubba, and then left the butcher shop, driving his new Chrysler PT Cruiser. This was the last time anyone reported seeing Revell Jeeter. He was a white male, 5'8" and weighing 230 pounds, with sandy, shoulder-length hair, blue eyes, and a short grayish beard at the time of his disappearance. He also wore reading glasses with black plastic frames and had a small, flesh-colored mole on his right cheek. Concerns for Jeeter's welfare grew when he failed to show up for a planned crab feast with a friend on July 19. A friend officially reported him missing to the Pennsylvania State Police on July 21, 2003. When authorities arrived at Jeeter's home on Buck Road, they found a scene that was both unsettling and perplexing. His new PT Cruiser, along with his three other vehicles, were all parked at the residence. The front door of his house was ajar, and the windows were open. Inside, there were no signs of a struggle or forced entry. Jeeter's wallet, firearms, and the cell phone he always carried were all found inside the home. Most tellingly, his beloved dog, Bubba, was found running loose outside, something his family insists he would never have allowed to happen without making arrangements for the dog's care. It appeared as though Jeeter had just stepped out for a moment and intended to return shortly. The investigation into Revell Jeeter's disappearance has spanned years, yet a definitive answer as to what happened to him remains elusive. Extensive searches of his twelve-acre property and the surrounding area, involving local firefighters, helicopters, and cadaver dogs, yielded no clues. A strange development in the case came in April 2008, when two of Jeeter's neighbors, a father and son named Kenneth and Gregory Rouzer, were arrested in connection with a murder-for-hire plot. While incarcerated, the Rouzers hinted to authorities that they knew the location of Jeeter's remains, but they did not admit to any involvement in his disappearance. A search of a property near Jeeter's home was conducted based on their statements, but nothing was found. It was also noted that Jeeter had reportedly left his ATV with the Rouzers for repair before he went missing. Despite these suspicions, no one has ever been charged in connection with Jeeter's case. The prevailing theory is that he met with foul play, and his case is considered a presumed homicide. His family, particularly his sister with whom he spoke weekly, does not believe he would have voluntarily left without his dog or his essential belongings. The disappearance of Revell Jeeter is a perplexing mystery that has left a family without answers and a community with an unsolved case that continues to endure.
