In the autumn of 1991, in the small city of Centralia, Illinois, a family's life was unalterably changed. Fifteen-year-old Joshua 'Josh' Mahaffey was a teenager with brown hair, brown eyes, and a noticeable scar on his left cheek from a dog bite.
