Christie Marie Cales, a 40-year-old mother of six, vanished from Blue Island, Illinois, on March 11, 1998. She was last seen around 4:30 p.m. near the 2300 block of West 119th Street, carrying a Bible and her purse. Accounts differ as to her intended destination; some state she was walking to a friend's house, while others say she was going to church.
